What better way to end the year than sharing our recording of the presentation from Dr. Stephanie Stollar on “Purposes of Assessment in the MTSS Model for Early Literacy”?
On December 13th, Dr. Stollar was the guest speaker for “WNY LIT: Literacy Instructors Together,” a professional learning group for whose mission is to support teachers in their efforts to learn more about evidence-based reading instruction; exchange ideas and best practices; ask questions and receive support; and create a community of educators working together to improve reading instruction for all students.

The registration page for our January 10th event is ready and you can sign up and learn more here.
It will be a powerful, in-person event where Stacey Pellicano, an area educator and advocate for students with dyslexia and founder of Dyslexia Services of WNY, will use dyslexia simulation exercises so that participants to experience for themselves the frustration of the dyslexic child. There will also be discussion on the importance of classroom accommodations, effective interventions, and assistive technology.
